La Escuela

Amira started her Flamenco training with Luis Ramon, originally from Madrid and a leading dancer of his generation, who became her mentor as well as her teacher. When she first experienced Flamenco she realized that this challenging art-form offered the intensity and musicality she had been seeking.
She has also attended workshops with Jonatan Miro, Belen Fernandez, Yolanda Gonzalez, Soledad Barrio, Diana Reyes, Antonio Vargas, Teo Morca, Francine Sweet, David Moran, Antonio Soria and others.
Amira has performed in many settings including theatre, opera, film and also at the World of WearableArt Awards. She has been part of showcase performances in the Tempo Festival of Dance.  A highlight was performing with the Flamenco singer, Cristina Lopez from Barcelona, and guitarist Paul Bosauder. She regularly directs and choreographs performances for her students and enjoys artistic collaboration with guitarist Sandy Schock.
